Sushree bowls India B to win over India C

Three-wicket haul by Odisha off-spinner Sushree Dibyadarshini Pradhan helped India B beat India C by four runs in the second match of the Women Senior T20 Challenger Trophy Tournament at Barabati Stadium here today.

Put into bat by India C captain Veda Krishnamurthy, India B, led by Smriti Mandhana, made a modest total of 94 for eight in the stipulated 20 overs. Richa Ghose was the top scorer with 25 runs. Rajeshwari Gayakwad was most successful India C bowler, bagging three wickets for seven runs.

In reply, India C could make 90 for eight. Sushree Dibyadarshini played instrumental role in the India B win, taking three wickets for 15 runs. Bhubaneswar allrounder Sushree also effected one run out and scored eight runs off eight balls.

Odisba batsman Madhuri Meheta was part of the India C team, but did not get the opportunity to play. Earlier yesterday, the opening match between India A and India B was abandoned without toss due to wet outfield.
